How It Works

Four steps. Zero hassle.

You run the school. We run the platform. Here's what happens from listing to payout.

1

List Your Gear

We handle the full setup — photos, video, pricing guidance. You're live in one session, about 20 minutes of your time.

2

Set Your Rules

You control availability, pricing, minimum skill level, and blackout dates. Block off gear for your own sessions anytime.

3

Get Booked

Travelers book and pay in advance. You get a notification. Deposit is held. Renter identity verified. Everything confirmed before they show up.

4

Collect Your Payout

Instant payout. We handle booking, payments, and damage deposits. Disputes are mediated by us. Not your problem.

Idle gear is expensive.

Every kite sitting on a rack during low season is money you're not making. Here's what one listing looks like.

That's one kite. Most schools have ten.

During your off-season, that gear was making $0. With KiteConnect, those same idle days become reliable passive revenue — without changing how you operate.

Built for Schools

Your gear is protected. Full stop.

Every booking includes layers of protection you don't have with a walk-in rental today.

Damage Deposits

Deposits scale to gear value and are held before the renter touches anything. Under $1K gear → $500 hold. $2,500 gear → $1,000 hold. Up to $2,000 for top-end kites.

Verified Renters Only

Government ID on file for every renter. Referral-only community — every member is vouched for. Skill level verified on profile. You do the final check at pickup.

Digital Waiver

Every renter signs a liability waiver at checkout. Timestamped photos at pickup and dropoff create a clear record. Documentation you've never had before.

We Handle Disputes

If something goes wrong, KiteConnect mediates. You're not dealing with an angry renter. That's our job, not yours.

Limited Offer

20 founding spots. That's it.

We're building this with our first schools, not around them. Founding schools get locked-in rates and a seat at the table.

Common Questions

We've heard it all.

The deposit is locked on their card before they touch anything — scaled to the gear value. On top of that, every renter signs a damage waiver and you take timestamped photos at pickup and dropoff. You have more protection than you do with any walk-in rental today. KiteConnect mediates all damage disputes.
Every renter signs a liability waiver at booking and their skill level is verified on their profile. You do the final check at pickup — you control who gets on the water. KiteConnect adds a documentation layer you don't have today. You're already running a licensed school with commercial liability insurance. This is a booking layer on top of that, not a new liability.
About 5 minutes per booking. When a reservation comes in, you get a notification with the renter's profile. They show up, you do a quick gear check and take photos on your phone. That's it. KiteConnect handles payments, messaging, deposits, and dispute resolution. It's less work than taking a lesson booking.
You control availability completely. Block off any gear for any date — lesson days, your own sessions, maintenance, whatever. Travelers can only book what you've made available. You're not giving up control, you're monetizing the gaps.
No. Minimum skill requirements on every listing mean only competent independent kiters can book — not beginners, not people who should be in your lesson program. They were never your lesson customer. They're a different buyer entirely. And they're on your beach, interacting with your team, potentially buying gear or booking coaching. They're additive, not competing.
